Perennials—some of the most vibrant flowers that bloom earliest in the spring. They are not affected by brief cold snaps in early spring; their flowers bloom even from beneath the snow. They look best when planted in small groups of 10–15 bulbs. They are suitable for planting under trees or among other perennials. The soil should be light, rich in humus, well-tilled, weed-free, and sufficiently moist but not waterlogged. Crocuses are grown in flower beds, pots, and planted in flowering meadows. The flowers are 3–6 cm in diameter. They overwinter in the ground and can grow in the same spot for several years.
